Isabel Soteras Valenti – Violine

I started playing violin when I was five years old in different music schools in Barcelona and I completed my intermediate studies at the Conservatori Professional de Música de Badalona with Marta García.

In 2009 I entered the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), where I did my Bachelor’s with Raquel Castro. At that time, I already felt a special connection to Early Music and its philosophy. That was why I started studying Baroque violin with Pablo Valetti. In 2013, after graduating, I moved to the Netherlands to continue my studies with Sarah Kapustin, obtaining a Master’s degree in Classical Music two years later.

In 2016 I moved to Freiburg (Germany) to do a Master’s in Early Music at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with Prof. Gottfried von der Goltz which I completed two years later.

Since then I have been working freelance and I have played in several chamber music groups and orchestras such as the Freiburger Barockorchester (Gottfried von der Goltz), Les Arts Florissants (William Christie), Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Scheme (Giovanni Antonini), La Folia Barockorchester (Robin Peter Müller), European Union Baroque Orchestra (Amandine Beyer), Ambronay European Baroque Academy (Paul Agnew), Cafe Zimmermann (Pablo Valetti), Academia Montis Regalis (Alessandro de Marchi) and Orquestra Barroca Catalana (Karl-Friedric Beringer).
